When Paramount Pictures moved in to build their own theatre, they faced the hurdle of having to draw a crowd despite being far separated from the already well-established theatre community. As a solution, they made the decision to give the Emerald City the most magnificent theatre destination in town, and this was the genesis of the Paramount.
