Tillicum Village

Seattle and the surrounding area has, for a long time, had a very important relationship with the indigenous peoples. The Emerald City itself is named in honor of Chief Seattle, the native man who first welcomed settlers to his native shores. Today, you can visit the birthplace of Seattle himself in the form of Tillicum Village, courtesy of Argosy Cruises.

It all takes place up north of our motel in Puyallup, in Seattle’s waterfront. Your journey begins with a narrated cruise across the Sound to Blake Island. It is here that you can partake of a hearty Northwest buffet and experience a Coast Salish-inspired program, including traditional dance and storytelling. Visit the Argosy Cruises website for more information.
